Your artwork
preparation
We will need the artwork in the correct
format.
Custom flag makers prefers files created
Adobe Illustrator (.ai) or Coral Draw (.cdr)
Adobe Acrobat (.pdf), (.psd) files. The
artwork files need to be of a resolution of
at least 300 dpi this will give an extremely
crisp print.
We may also be able to use JPEG,
BMP.
Often images
are referred to as high resolution (hi-res)
or low resolution (low-res). High resolution
would be an image intended for print,
generally having 300 dpi. Low resolution
refers to images only intended for screen
display, generally having 100 pixels per inch
or less.
Vector images which are created in Adobe
Illustrator (.ai) or Coral Draw (.cdr) are
best because they're scalable, vector-based
images are resolution independent. You can
increase and decrease the size of vector
images to any degree and your lines will
remain crisp and sharp, both on screen and in
print. Fonts are a type of vector object.
If you have the ability to zip up your files
(compress them) we would appreciate it if you
would zip them before you send them to us,
particularly if the artwork is over 1 MB in
size. If you do not have this ability, please
do not let it stop you from sending it to us
via E-mail.
Please understand that if it is in
the art, it will be in the print!
If the edges, lines, or special details are
not crisp and clean, it will not be crisp and
clean on the your custom flag. So, be very
sure that when you send us artwork is exactly
what you want to see on your custom
flag.
